Picnic in the Park

Today we hd a very nice picnic in the park with Jen and Kelsey, whose baby is due anytime now.  It was very nice.  See pictures.  Soon, we are going to get in the car and head on over to Big R to take James to see the little baby chicks and ducks.  He will love it!!!!!!

He sure is a happy little guy, talking up a storm.  He is testing the boundries right now by touching the computer.  Now he's off to go pund on the window.  Into everything....

St. Patricks Day!!!
I am late catching up on all of James new stuff.  We have all been sick, and tired, and, well sick and tired!  On Saturday night, James cut is fifth new tooth.  Upper right.  It was a tough go, and the top left (next to the two middle) is well on it's way in as well.  After the big break, Sunday, he sure was a little live wire!  What a great mood!  I see this as a pattern now.  Always the day after he cuts a tooth, he is is the best mood ever.  So good, in fact, that he twice, took three steps on his own.  Yes, you heard it, he walked unassisted.  Two times.  Between Sean in his chair by the window, and me on the couch.  It was so cool.  I think that all of his being sick has really put a damper on his walking, but you don't hear us complaining about that.  He has the rest of his life.  But really, we don't have long now.

Speaking of sick, Sean and I feel like death warmed over today.  And yesterday, and the day before.  We are really ready to all be normal again.  Someday.....

Well, that is the big news from us here.  Ciao!

Today

I just wanted to make a quick post before going to bed, that we are all fine in the wake of today's explosion in downtown Bozeman.  Sean was not at work downtown this morning because he was out of town this week for a conference in Great Falls.  I had just passed the area three minutes prior to the explosion, and was walking across the parking lot at daycare, dropping James off.  Good timing on our part!  Daycare is about six blocks from the explosion site, so certainly far enough away.

Thanks everyone for your concern.

Observation

For the past couple of days, I've made an observation.... James really likes to head-butt things.  It is hilarious.  He will look at something really intensely, and then jerk his head to the object.  He especially loves to do this on the side of the bathtub and to out heads.  Although today he did it with the phone, his highchair, the coffee table, and other various household items.  I think it is a sign of affection.
Speaking on the phone, it is really scary, but he totally knows what the phone is.  He tries to dial, and when he gets a hold of the home phone, or my cell phone, he puts it up to his ear.  Freaks me out that a 10 month old is up with technology.  He also loves the laptop.  He thinks it is the greatest thing ever.  Perhaps because we look at it frequently, or because it is pretty and shiny white.  Who knows, but he just thinks it is really great.
He is feeling a little better today, but still has not really slept in about three nights.  I won't lie...it really is a drag.  Let's hope that tonight goes better.
I am off now to catch a few winks before he starts to wake up...
